Spectators: 7691 (Terracing: 5769, Seating: 1769, VIP seats: 153) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Mugur Stoicu kicked off to start the match. 5 minutes into the game, Borospatak SC's Mugur Stoicu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aurelian Nicea made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After a rather tough play, FCDB's Liviu Mercescu got a free kick in the 7th minute. Silviu Apostu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Aurelian Nicea came out and tried to block the shot, but Silviu Apostu slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 14th minute. When Vlad Tănase fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FCDB's protests and gave Vlad Tănase a yellow card for diving instead. In the 19th match minute, FCDB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vlad Tănase to maneuver through the defense. In the 20th minute, Borospatak SC's Mugur Stoicu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Aurelian Nicea. Aurelian Nicea yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. In the 24th minute, Sandu Damian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mugur Stoicu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Aurelian Nicea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Liviu Mercescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of FCDB booed when Borospatak SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivan Nichitelea didn't get a good kick on the ball. Liviu Mercescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dumitru Oprișan having to interfere. 35 minutes into the match, Borospatak SC's goal looked a bit too open when Ciprian Manolache came free, but Dumitru Oprișan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute, Fabian Andronache hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 38 played minutes, Borospatak SC's Silviu Apostu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Aurelian Nicea came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Borospatak SC reached it. In the 39th minute, Mircea Huidu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 40th minute, Mugur Stoicu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Borospatak SC's Dragoş Boieru got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The wind increased when Liviu Mercescu made the kick off in the second half. Ciprian Manolache fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dumitru Oprișan having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mugur Stoicu in the 65th minute of play forced FCDB's goalkeeper Aurelian Nicea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th minute, Liviu Mercescu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FCDB fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Mugur Stoicu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aurelian Nicea having to make a save. Toader Doinaș sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ciprian Manolache got free with Dumitru Oprișan in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Toader Doinaș fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelian Nicea having to interfere. Sebastian Stejaru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Aurelian Nicea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Liviu Mercescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Dumitru Oprișan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
