Spectators: 7286 (Terracing: 5786, Seating: 1440, VIP seats: 60) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Silviu Oproiu took the kick off in the first half of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Mihail Curta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Doina FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mihail Curta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marin Negrilă breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marin Negrilă made an important save on a dangerous shot by Virgil Gavrilă in the 6th minute. Sorin Pencu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silviu Oproiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. In the 9th minute Silviu Oproiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sorin Pencu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Varciorog getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Leonard Bulgar hit a great ball. Marin Negrilă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicodim Doloman, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Marin Negrilă stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nicodim Doloman's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. In the 26th minute, Doina FC's Nicodim Doloman ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Marin Negrilă. Marin Negrilă yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Sorin Pencu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silviu Oproiu in the 35th minute of play. 37 minutes into the game, one of Varciorog:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Marin Negrilă, was totally fooled by Doina FC's Nicodim Doloman, who 40 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Nicodim Doloman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marin Negrilă read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Doina FC's zone, Octav Toacsen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sorin Pencu came out of the goal and Octav Toacsen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The wind increased when Nicodim Doloman made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Nicodim Doloman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Doina FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Virgil Gavrilă scored 6-0 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marin Negrilă, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Nicodim Doloman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nicodim Doloman in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marin Negrilă saved Varciorog from getting behind. After some careless play in the Varciorog defense, Virgil Gavrilă kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marin Negrilă. The Varciorog fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marin Negrilă should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nicodim Doloman in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marin Negrilă prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgil Gavrilă in the 73rd minute of play forced Varciorog's goalkeeper Marin Negrilă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 74 played minutes Varciorog got a freekick which was hit by Aurel Iovulescu. When Mihail Curta came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Doina FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mihail Curta couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Varciorog booed when Doina FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vasile Novac didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Nicodim Doloman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marin Negrilă was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mihail Curta in the 87th minute of play forced Varciorog's goalkeeper Marin Negrilă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 90 minutes into the match, Varciorog's goal looked a bit too open when Nicodim Doloman came free, but Marin Negrilă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th match minute, Varciorog was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sever Bunoaică to maneuver through the defense. In the 92nd minute of the match Vasile Novac shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marin Negrilă showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Varciorog's Marin Negrilă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Codruț Uncheşelu in the 94th minute of play. Marin Negrilă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mihail Curta in the 95th minute of play. Marin Negrilă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicodim Doloman in the 96th minute of the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Doina FC had played much better football throughout.
