Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Aurel Rainea took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Aurel Rainea came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Atalanta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aurel Rainea couldn't finish the play. Cosmin Blejan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilie Borogeanu having to interfere. In the 7th minute, Iacob Postelnicu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ilie Borogeanu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 13th match minute, Atalanta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucian Cămărășescu to maneuver through the defense. Vasile Lăzărescu hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. After having played for 25 minutes, Iustin Stoicea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CF GRAND VALLE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iustin Stoicea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Iacob Postelnicu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Atalanta's Iacob Postelnicu got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Iustin Stoicea made a kick off. Ilie Borogeanu was out of position in the 51 minute of play, and Daniel Răchită capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Daniel Răchită really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Aurel Rainea struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Ilie Borogeanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atalanta. After some careless play in the CF GRAND VALLE defense, Aurel Rainea kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ilie Borogeanu. The CF GRAND VALLE fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ilie Borogeanu should have stopped the shot. In the 62nd minute, Aurel Rainea reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ilie Borogeanu. The goal made the score 1-4. After some careless play in the CF GRAND VALLE defense, Aurel Rainea kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ilie Borogeanu. The CF GRAND VALLE fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ilie Borogeanu should have stopped the shot. CF GRAND VALLE's Ilie Borogeanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurel Rainea in the 68th minute of play. When Leonard Bodiu fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CF GRAND VALLE's protests and gave Leonard Bodiu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 69th match minute, CF GRAND VALLE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonard Bodiu to maneuver through the defense. After 70 minutes of play, Atalanta's Aurel Rainea made it 1-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ilie Borogeanu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Aurel Rainea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sandu Bacalbașa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Emanuel Geambașu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cosmin Blejan during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 83 minutes into the match, CF GRAND VALLE's goal looked a bit too open when Aurel Rainea came free, but Ilie Borogeanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 84th match minute, CF GRAND VALLE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonard Bodiu to maneuver through the defense. Atalanta's Cosmin Blejan got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 97 minutes into the match, Iustin Stoicea notched a goal, 2-6, to the right of Atalanta's Emanuel Geambașu. Emanuel Geambașu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the final whistle sounded Atalanta left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than CF GRAND VALLE.
