In the 14th minute, Atalanta's Aurel Rainea dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Daniel Răchită sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an all-out effort, Atalanta's Stelian Antonescu threw himself towards the right post 21 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Daniel Răchită, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Lucian Cămărășescu succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-0 in the 23rd playminute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aurel Rainea was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, FC TIM-TIM's goal looked a bit too open when Aurel Rainea came free, but Stelian Antonescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stelian Antonescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iacob Postelnicu in the 53rd minute of play. FC TIM-TIM's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Răchită was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-0. Valeriu Zglimbea kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cătălin Calomfir in the 93rd minute of play forced FC TIM-TIM's goalkeeper Stelian Antonescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 94 minutes into the match, FC TIM-TIM's goal looked a bit too open when Florin Alexiu came free, but Stelian Antonescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Atalanta's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
