Spectators: 7732 (Terracing: 5800, Seating: 1778, VIP seats: 154) Dinu Gheondea started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 7 minutes into the game, Irinel Breazu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Cristian Moisil was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 11 minutes, Felix Eremia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Scornicesti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Eremia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristian Moisil came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by FC POLI TIMISOARA's Cazimir Săvescu. But to his dismay, Cazimir Săvescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 21st minute, Vasile Acalinei made a precise shot to the right of Cazimir Marincean. FC POLI TIMISOARA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Dinu Gheondea managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC POLI TIMISOARA's supporters rose to their feet, but Dinu Gheondea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristian Moisil breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Scornicesti's Anton Ciungu got a free kick in the 30th minute. After 33 played minutes FC POLI TIMISOARA got a freekick which was hit by Nichifor Benga. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vasile Acalinei in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cazimir Marincean saved FC POLI TIMISOARA from getting behind. Cazimir Săvescu kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. In the 41st minute, Scornicesti's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Marian Gârniceanu fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Cazimir Marincean showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Eremia in the 43rd minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vasile Acalinei made a kick off. Marian Gârniceanu scored 3-1 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cristian Moisil, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nichifor Benga hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Cristian Moisil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marian Gârniceanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. After a rather tough play, Scornicesti's Cezar Bărnuțiu got a free kick in the 73rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dinu Gheondea in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristian Moisil saved Scornicesti from getting behind. Dinu Gheondea scored 4-1 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cristian Moisil, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 83rd minute, Panait Nicoliță ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristian Moisil was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. When Dinu Gheondea got free in front of the goal in the 87th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Cristian Moisil was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 88th match minute, Scornicesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leontin Bebeșel to maneuver through the defense. Marian Gârniceanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There was no doubt that FC POLI TIMISOARA were the better team. FC POLI TIMISOARA's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
