A beautiful save bye F.C. STEAUA BUCURESTI's goalie prevented a goal. With a little luck, F.C. STEAUA BUCURESTI's Eugen Curtean got control of the ball when Cezar Alexandru tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 8th minute Cezar Alexandru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugen Curtean saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 9th minute of the match UFC STEAUA got a corner. F.C. STEAUA BUCURESTI's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nelson Mendoza ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led UFC STEAUA's Nelson Mendoza to fire away a dangerous shot which Eugen Curtean despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Maksymilian Traczewski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. João Massa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 13 minutes into the match, F.C. STEAUA BUCURESTI's goal looked a bit too open when Cezar Alexandru came free, but Eugen Curtean reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cezar Alexandrus short, quick shot in the 14thth minute got Eugen Curtean to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Albert Hodorog fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugen Curtean having to interfere. Eugen Curtean stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cezar Alexandru's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cezar Alexandru in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eugen Curtean prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 27 minutes into the match, F.C. STEAUA BUCURESTI's goal looked a bit too open when Cezar Alexandru came free, but Eugen Curtean reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Cezar Alexandru's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eugen Curtean was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Eugen Curtean was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Hermengildo Jobo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 29 minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cezar Alexandru in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eugen Curtean prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Cezar Alexandru in the 34th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Eugen Curtean kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 2-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. In the 37th minute, Cezar Alexandru ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eugen Curtean was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cezar Alexandru in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eugen Curtean prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 44 played minutes F.C. STEAUA BUCURESTI got a freekick which was hit by Lucrețiu Aldea. Eugen Curtean showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cezar Alexandru in the 47th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Maksymilian Traczewski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes UFC STEAUA got a freekick which was hit by Nelson Mendoza. When the match clock showed 54 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Cezar Alexandru sped through F.C. STEAUA BUCURESTI's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Eugen Curtean. Cezar Alexandru recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. F.C. STEAUA BUCURESTI's Eugen Curtean played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albert Hodorog in the 64th minute of play. The UFC STEAUA fans' excitement grew in the 66th match minute when UFC STEAUA's Cezar Alexandru looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 70 minutes of play, UFC STEAUA's Cezar Alexandru made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eugen Curtean was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cezar Alexandru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74th minute, Albert Hodorog got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 77th minute, Cezar Alexandru ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eugen Curtean was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. F.C. STEAUA BUCURESTI's Eugen Curtean played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albert Hodorog in the 80th minute of play. In the 82nd minute Cezar Alexandru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugen Curtean saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Albert Hodorog managed to get in a good position for a shot. UFC STEAUA's supporters rose to their feet, but Albert Hodorog was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eugen Curtean breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 86th minute of the match UFC STEAUA got a corner. F.C. Eugen Curtean showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albert Hodorog in the 89th minute of the match. Eugen Curtean showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cezar Alexandru, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Eugen Curtean came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by UFC STEAUA's Cezar Alexandru. But to his dismay, Cezar Alexandru quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-0. After 96 played minutes F.C. STEAUA BUCURESTI got a freekick which was hit by Petru Trăistaru. Nelson Mendoza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee ended the match the UFC STEAUA players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
