Spectators: 7695 (Terracing: 5772, Seating: 1770, VIP seats: 153) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Vasile Acalinei got the match started through his kick off. Cristian Moisil came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Gherghita FCM's Tudor Rucăreanu. But to his dismay, Tudor Rucăreanu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Gherghita FCM's Tudor Davidescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vasile Acalinei in the 8th minute of play. If Tudor Rucăreanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tudor Rucăreanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tudor Davidescu was out of position in the 21 minute of play, and Vasile Acalinei capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Vasile Acalinei really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. If Felix Eremia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Călin Zăreanu in the 26th minute of play forced Scornicesti's goalkeeper Cristian Moisil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristian Moisil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tudor Rucăreanu in the 28th minute of the match. Călin Zăreanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Călin Zăreanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Moisil having to interfere. Felix Eremia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Tudor Davidescu made a huge save. Tudor Davidescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vasile Acalinei, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. After 47 played minutes Scornicesti got a freekick which was hit by Cezar Bărnuțiu.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Călin Zăreanu to make the kick off. Vasile Acalinei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Scornicesti's Cristian Moisil got control of the ball when Tudor Rucăreanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Scornicesti fans' excitement grew in the 58th match minute when Scornicesti's Vasile Acalinei looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anton Ciungu during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Felix Eremia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Tudor Davidescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vasile Acalinei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tudor Davidescu having to interfere. Tudor Rucăreanu struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Cristian Moisil didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gherghita FCM. 73 minutes into the game, Felix Eremia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Tudor Davidescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Scornicesti's Cristian Moisil proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Scornicesti from getting a goal against them. In the 85th minute, Gherghita FCM's Călin Zăreanu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-2. In the 88th minute, Anton Ciungu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 89th minute, Tudor Rucăreanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Gherghita FCM's Călin Zăreanu in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Scornicesti's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Felix Eremia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Scornicesti's supporters rose to their feet, but Felix Eremia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tudor Davidescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tudor Davidescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vasile Acalinei in the 96th minute of play. Vasile Acalinei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Tudor Davidescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
