After 5 played minutes F.C. STEAUA BUCURESTI got a freekick which was hit by Gheorghe Vermeşan. In the 7th minute, Tudor Rucăreanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tudor Davidescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petru Trăistaru, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Eugen Curtean was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Călin Zăreanu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 11 minute of play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Maksymilian Traczewski made a kick off. Gherghita FCM's defense didn't have a chance, in the 54th minute, when Maksymilian Traczewski scored to the left of an out of position Tudor Davidescu, making the score, 2-2. Maksymilian Traczewski received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tudor Davidescu acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 64th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Corneliu Cioacă. In the 66th minute Iustinian Elefteriu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugen Curtean saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Gherghita FCM's Tudor Davidescu got control of the ball when Mehmet Ali Ergönül tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Qiao Cheng in the 70th minute of play forced Gherghita FCM's goalkeeper Tudor Davidescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tudor Davidescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Maksymilian Traczewski went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. After 77 played minutes Qiao Cheng rounded Gherghita FCM's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-5. 80 minutes into the match, Gherghita FCM's goalkeeper Tudor Davidescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mehmet Ali Ergönül. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Flavius Luican during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 87th minute of the game. One of Gherghita FCM:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of F.C. STEAUA BUCURESTI:s goal. F.C. STEAUA BUCURESTI's Qiao Cheng got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Mehmet Ali Ergönül had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Gherghita FCM fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. F.C. STEAUA BUCURESTI were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
