When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Viorel Irod took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Cristian Moisil to make any attempt to save it. Pompiliu Hritcu charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pompiliu Hritcu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Scornicesti's Cristian Moisil proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Scornicesti from getting a goal against them. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vasile Acalinei was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Nechifor Hurmuz managed to get in a good position for a shot. GLADIATORII's supporters rose to their feet, but Nechifor Hurmuz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristian Moisil breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 57 minutes, Nechifor Hurmuz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GLADIATORII's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nechifor Hurmuz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Scornicesti's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nechifor Hurmuz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. After 66 minutes, Viorel Irod made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Scornicesti's Cristian Moisil tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The GLADIATORII fans' excitement grew in the 70th match minute when GLADIATORII's Nechifor Hurmuz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Viorel Irod sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Nechifor Hurmuz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th match minute, Scornicesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leontin Bebeșel to maneuver through the defense. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. GLADIATORII had played much better football throughout.
