Spectators: 7420 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1770, VIP seats: 150) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Sorin Păunescu made the kick off which started today's match. After a rather tough play, Herastrau's Costică Codruț got a free kick in the 2nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albert Răduțu in the 6th minute of play forced Herastrau's goalkeeper Radu Constantin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Horaţiu Zorlescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 15 minutes into the game, Paul Lucescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lupii Dacici's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Herastrau the free kick. 21 minutes into the match, Herastrau's goal looked a bit too open when Liviu Bojonca came free, but Radu Constantin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Radu Tarcu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27th minute, one of Lupii Dacici:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Lupii Dacici. Gelu Armeanca made an important save on a dangerous shot by Horaţiu Zorlescu in the 34th minute. Horaţiu Zorlescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gelu Armeanca having to interfere. Lupii Dacici's Pavel Hăulică suffered a sore thigh after 36 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 36 minutes of play Herastrau's Costică Codruț was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Lupii Dacici made a substitution. Andrei Bogătean replaced Pavel Hăulică. A collision led to Herastrau getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Costică Codruț hit a great ball. Andrei Bogătean hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Radu Constantin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Liviu Bojonca in the 42nd minute of the match. Horaţiu Zorlescu came free with the goalkeeper in the 45th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gelu Armeanca could save by the left post. In the 46th minute Liviu Bojonca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Radu Constantin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Radu Constantin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Miulescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Horaţiu Zorlescu made a kick off. Gelu Armeanca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horaţiu Zorlescu in the 56th minute of play. After 63 played minutes Lupii Dacici got a freekick which was hit by Liviu Bojonca. Radu Constantin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albert Răduțu in the 66th minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Herastrau's Horaţiu Zorlescu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gelu Armeanca narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Radu Constantin was a little too slow when Sebastian Miulescu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 76th minute. The score was now 0-1. Sorin Păunescu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 80thth minute tested the skills of Radu Constantin when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Liviu Bojonca might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Radu Constantin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Liviu Bojonca ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Liviu Bojonca took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Radu Constantin to make any attempt to save it. When the match was over Lupii Dacici could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Herastrau throughout the match.
