Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The supporters of Herastrau booed when Cornurile UFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexandru Capătă didn't get a good kick on the ball. Radu Constantin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Irinel Negrițoiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. A collision led to Herastrau getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Costică Codruț hit a great ball. Cornurile UFC's Sorin Banciu couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 8th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Herastrau. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Iacob Grindeanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cornurile UFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Iacob Grindeanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Radu Constantin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Herastrau's zone, Iacob Grindeanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Radu Constantin came out of the goal and Iacob Grindeanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Valentin Orădan kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. A collision led to Cornurile UFC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Edgar Sima hit a great ball. Radu Constantin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Irinel Negrițoiu in the 36th minute of play. In the 37th minute Cornurile UFC were awarded a corner. Sorin Banciu went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Cornurile UFC's corner Edgar Sima fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Radu Constantin quite easily take care of the ball. Irinel Negrițoiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Radu Constantin having to interfere. Radu Constantin came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Cornurile UFC's Iacob Grindeanu. But to his dismay, Iacob Grindeanu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Irinel Negrițoiu in the 52nd minute of play forced Herastrau's goalkeeper Radu Constantin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cornurile UFC's Iacob Grindeanu got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Irinel Negrițoiu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Radu Constantin was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Alexandru Capătă hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. With his leg Gigi Cuculeanu managed to avoid a goal in the 65thth minute, when Herastrau's Horaţiu Zorlescu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Edgar Sima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Irinel Negrițoiu put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Radu Constantin. The Cornurile UFC fans' excitement grew in the 75th match minute when Cornurile UFC's Irinel Negrițoiu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Gigi Cuculeanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Radu Tarcu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Radu Constantin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iacob Grindeanu in the 80th minute of the match. In the 87th minute Irinel Negrițoiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Radu Constantin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Irinel Negrițoiu struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Radu Constantin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cornurile UFC. Iacob Grindeanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Radu Constantin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
