The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. BIC's Teobald Magdziarz got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Dobarceni's zone, Teobald Magdziarz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iurie Lamru came out of the goal and Teobald Magdziarz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gelu Zbuchea in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emilian Plop saved BIC from getting behind. Romeo Stancu hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Cezar Irod's late challenge caught a Dobarceni's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cezar Irod helped the player get up and apologised. In the 27th minute, Cezar Irod hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emilian Plop showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gelu Zbuchea, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 33rd minute, Dobarceni's Gelu Zbuchea ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Emilian Plop. Emilian Plop yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Emanuel Vădan struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Iurie Lamru didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BIC. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emanuel Vădan during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dobarceni were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of BIC for a fine match.
