Venezia FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mihăiţă Bălășescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iurie Lamru breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mihăiţă Bălășescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iurie Lamru having to interfere. After 19 played minutes Dobarceni got a freekick which was hit by Manole Tătaru. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mihăiţă Bălășescu in the 19th minute of play forced Dobarceni's goalkeeper Iurie Lamru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nicolae Sitaru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 25 minutes into the match, Dobarceni's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolae Sitaru came free, but Iurie Lamru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Venezia FC's Gelu Popoacă proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Venezia FC from getting a goal against them. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nicolae Sitaru was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Dobarceni's Ştefan Brad got a free kick in the 52nd minute. 54 minutes into the game, Venezia FC's Nicolae Sitaru nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Iurie Lamru made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 57th minute, Nicolae Sitaru fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Iurie Lamru, passed just outside the right post. After having played for 92 minutes, Aurel Șeimeanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezia FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aurel Șeimeanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 94 minutes of play, Venezia FC's Nicolae Sitaru made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Iurie Lamru was left in no man's land by his defense there! Venezia FC played a much better game than Dobarceni and deserved their victory. The Dobarceni players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
