Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Studena CSS's Nae Maxim started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mugur Martin charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mugur Martin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Studena CSS booed when FC Super Fortuna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mugur Martin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Virgil Teodoroiu kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. If Emilian Braru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Studena CSS's Traian Cucerzan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgil Teodoroiu in the 16th minute of play. Narcis Pantelimon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilian Braru in the 17th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, FC Super Fortuna's goal looked a bit too open when Emilian Braru came free, but Narcis Pantelimon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emilian Braru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Narcis Pantelimon having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Virgil Teodoroiu made the kick off in the second half. Emilian Braru hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Nae Maxim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Narcis Pantelimon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the FC Super Fortuna defense, Nae Maxim kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Narcis Pantelimon. The FC Super Fortuna fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Narcis Pantelimon should have stopped the shot. Emilian Braru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Narcis Pantelimon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Studena CSS's Nae Maxim got a free kick in the 65th minute. After 68 played minutes, Studena CSS's Mugurel Avădanei shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Narcis Pantelimon came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Studena CSS reached it. Narcis Pantelimon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emilian Braru in the 69th minute of the match. Mugurel Avădanei kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. With a little luck, Studena CSS's Traian Cucerzan got control of the ball when Virgil Teodoroiu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Virgil Teodoroiu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Traian Cucerzan made a huge save. After a rather tough play, FC Super Fortuna's Constantin Claudiescu got a free kick in the 76th minute. In the game's 77th minute Studena CSS's Mugurel Avădanei took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Narcis Pantelimon and thus the score was 2-0. After having played for 81 minutes, Emilian Braru managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Studena CSS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emilian Braru was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 84 minutes into the match, Studena CSS's Emilian Braru sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Narcis Pantelimon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Emilian Braru recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A hard shot 89 in the game by Virgil Teodoroiu from a close distance when the talented Traian Cucerzan managed to make a qualified save. Studena CSS's players were relieved. Narcis Pantelimon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nae Maxim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, FC Super Fortuna's Mugur Martin got a free kick in the 94th minute. Studena CSS's Emilian Braru got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Studena CSS were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of FC Super Fortuna for a fine match.
