In the 14th minute Claudiu Codreanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marian Hurmuzescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Tincu in the 15th minute of play forced Colteni's goalkeeper Nicu Dobre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Stiinta Andromeda getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Narcis Popete hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Codruț Gaiță got free with Marian Hurmuzescu in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 34th minute, Colteni's Emil Vrabie dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. Stiinta Andromeda's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Emil Vrabie 37 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-1. Claudiu Codreanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Stiinta Andromeda getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Cristi Dridu hit a great ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Marian Hurmuzescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emil Vrabie in the 69th minute of the match. Codruț Beșliu scored 5-1 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marian Hurmuzescu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Colteni's Nicu Dobre got control of the ball when Daniel Tincu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Stiinta Andromeda's Marian Hurmuzescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horea Marchidan in the 89th minute of play. Marian Hurmuzescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horea Marchidan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 93 minutes into the match, Stiinta Andromeda's goal looked a bit too open when Horea Marchidan came free, but Marian Hurmuzescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Colteni's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
