Grigore Coșereanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ovidiu Elian made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lucrețiu Meleșcanu in the 30th minute. Ovidiu Elian was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lucrețiu Meleșcanu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 30 minute of play. Valeriu Anastasiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. UFC Piluganii's supporters rose to their feet, but Valeriu Anastasiu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ovidiu Elian breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ovidiu Elian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valeriu Anastasiu in the 89th minute of play. If Olimpiu Cristache had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. UFC Piluganii's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
