Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Silviu Bădila kicked off to start the match. Basarab Baltian was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 13th minute, Silviu Bădila left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Bora Bora fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Silviu Bădila in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dorin Mercea saved Poli Iasi from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in FC Bora Bora's zone, Tiberiu Negură stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Basarab Baltian came out of the goal and Tiberiu Negură tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice moves Eugen Ciolacu could shoot a difficult shot in the 22nd minute, which Basarab Baltian however easily saved by the left post. 24 minutes into the match, Poli Iasi's goal looked a bit too open when Silviu Bădila came free, but Dorin Mercea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute, Eugen Ciolacu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Basarab Baltian. The goal made the score 2-1. Eugen Ciolacu was extremely unlucky when he, in the 28th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After a rather tough play, FC Bora Bora's Codrin Valerian got a free kick in the 31st minute. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 3-2 when Flavius Bolcaș sped through FC Bora Bora's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Basarab Baltian. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nae Tănăsocă during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 42 played minutes Poli Iasi got a freekick which was hit by Nae Tănăsocă. The crowd rose to their feet as Eugen Ciolacu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Basarab Baltian. That made the score 4-2 in the 45 minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pompiliu Spiridon to make the kick off. Flavius Minda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorin Mercea having to interfere. After having played for 60 minutes, Silviu Bădila managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Bora Bora's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silviu Bădila was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vintilă Hăulică's late challenge caught a Poli Iasi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vintilă Hăulică helped the player get up and apologised. Vintilă Hăulică kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. 63 minutes into the match, Eugen Ciolacu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Basarab Baltian. FC Bora Bora's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eugen Ciolacu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-3. Silviu Bădila who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 66thth minute tested the skills of Dorin Mercea when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Basarab Baltian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pompiliu Spiridon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Poli Iasi booed when FC Bora Bora was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mihail Cernea didn't get a good kick on the ball. 72 minutes into the game, Poli Iasi's Eugen Ciolacu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Basarab Baltian made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-3. 77 minutes into the match, FC Bora Bora's goal looked a bit too open when Eugen Ciolacu came free, but Basarab Baltian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Basarab Baltian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pompiliu Spiridon in the 78th minute of the match. Basarab Baltian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flavius Bolcaș, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 83 minutes into the game, Codrin Valerian was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Bora Bora's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Poli Iasi the free kick. The supporters of Poli Iasi booed when FC Bora Bora was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Codrin Valerian didn't get a good kick on the ball. 84 minutes into the match, FC Bora Bora's goal looked a bit too open when Pompiliu Spiridon came free, but Basarab Baltian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pompiliu Spiridon in the 87th minute of play forced FC Bora Bora's goalkeeper Basarab Baltian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dorin Mercea was a little too slow when Silviu Bădila got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 88th minute. The score was now 6-4. 96 minutes into the match, Poli Iasi's goalkeeper Dorin Mercea had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Silviu Bădila. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Poli Iasi fans cheered their team off the field, for while FC Bora Bora had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
