Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) An unexpectedly hard shot by Gheorghe Oproiu in the 4th minute of play forced Poli Iasi's goalkeeper Dorin Mercea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 4 played minutes Stiinta Andromeda got a freekick which was hit by Gică Ungur. Pompiliu Spiridon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Calistrat Dichiseanu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. Calistrat Dichiseanu made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Eugen Ciolacu sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Pompiliu Spiridon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Poli Iasi's supporters rose to their feet, but Pompiliu Spiridon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Calistrat Dichiseanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Poli Iasi's Pompiliu Spiridon got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 19 minutes, Flavius Bolcaș managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Poli Iasi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Flavius Bolcaș was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Nae Tănăsocă managed to get in a good position for a shot. Poli Iasi's supporters rose to their feet, but Nae Tănăsocă was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Calistrat Dichiseanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Stiinta Andromeda getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Victor Gafița hit a great ball. Poli Iasi's Eugen Ciolacu got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 25 minutes into the match, Stiinta Andromeda's goalkeeper Calistrat Dichiseanu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eugen Ciolacu. Calistrat Dichiseanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nae Tănăsocă, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. With a little luck, Stiinta Andromeda's Calistrat Dichiseanu got control of the ball when Eugen Ciolacu tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Poli Iasi's Cătălin Buda got a free kick in the 30th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Gică Ungur managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stiinta Andromeda's supporters rose to their feet, but Gică Ungur was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dorin Mercea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dacian Gogu lost his temper 34 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 35 played minutes Poli Iasi got a freekick which was hit by Dacian Gogu. The supporters of Poli Iasi booed when Stiinta Andromeda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Gafița didn't get a good kick on the ball. 39 minutes into the match, Stiinta Andromeda's Narcis Popete sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dorin Mercea narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Flavius Bolcaș was extremely unlucky when he, in the 41st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Eugen Ciolacu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Calistrat Dichiseanu having to interfere. Poli Iasi's Niculae Ene got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eugen Ciolacu made a kick off. A collision led to Stiinta Andromeda getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Daniel Tincu hit a great ball. After 54 played minutes, Poli Iasi's Tiberiu Negură shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Calistrat Dichiseanu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Poli Iasi reached it. 56 minutes into the match, Stiinta Andromeda's goal looked a bit too open when Eugen Ciolacu came free, but Calistrat Dichiseanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dorin Mercea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Narcis Popete, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Calistrat Dichiseanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugen Ciolacu in the 60th minute of the match. Flavius Bolcaș scored 1-0 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Calistrat Dichiseanu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Romeo Giubelean during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Romeo Giubelean hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Nae Tănăsocă's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Calistrat Dichiseanu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Iosif Scutaru got free with Dorin Mercea in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Stiinta Andromeda's zone, Eugen Ciolacu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Calistrat Dichiseanu came out of the goal and Eugen Ciolacu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 86 minutes into the match, Stiinta Andromeda's goal looked a bit too open when Eugen Ciolacu came free, but Calistrat Dichiseanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Nae Tănăsocă put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Calistrat Dichiseanu. Nae Tănăsocă fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Calistrat Dichiseanu having to interfere. 95 minutes into the match, Gheorghe Oproiu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dorin Mercea, 3-1. Poli Iasi's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
