Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) U Craiova's Horea Frumușanu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute, Narcis Silişteanu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ionuț Bulencea was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After having played for 8 minutes, Romeo Crețulescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. U Craiova's supporters crossed their fingers, but Romeo Crețulescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Constantin Buzea took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Ionuț Bulencea to make any attempt to save it. Romeo Crețulescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Ionuț Bulencea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Romeo Crețulescu might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ionuț Bulencea. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Romeo Crețulescu ran back to his position shaking his head. Horea Frumușanu might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ionuț Bulencea. Romeo Crețulescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ionuț Bulencea read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. When U Craiova's Horea Frumușanu in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye AFC Ivanda's goalie prevented a goal. Narcis Silişteanu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ionuț Bulencea came out and tried to block the shot, but Narcis Silişteanu slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 28th minute. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Horea Frumușanu put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ionuț Bulencea. In the 35th minute, Narcis Silişteanu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The U Craiova fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. Narcis Silişteanu took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ionuț Bulencea. Ionuț Bulencea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. If Narcis Silişteanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romeo Crețulescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 45 minutes, the score became 8-0 when Horea Frumușanu sped through AFC Ivanda's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ionuț Bulencea. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 8-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Manole Ghiță made the kick off in the second half. Ionuț Bulencea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romeo Crețulescu in the 53rd minute of the match. Ştefan Stârcea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Dorin Cârstoiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 56th minute, Romeo Crețulescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 58 minutes into the game, Cornel Mirciulescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AFC Ivanda's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave U Craiova the free kick. In the 58th match minute, AFC Ivanda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cornel Mirciulescu to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Horea Frumușanu in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ionuț Bulencea saved AFC Ivanda from getting behind. If Horea Frumușanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Horea Frumușanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. U Craiova's supporters rose to their feet, but Horea Frumușanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ionuț Bulencea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Horea Frumușanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Ionuț Bulencea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Romeo Crețulescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in AFC Ivanda's zone, Narcis Silişteanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ionuț Bulencea came out of the goal and Narcis Silişteanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 74 minutes into the game, Ionică Dobrotă was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AFC Ivanda's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave U Craiova the free kick. Dorin Cârstoiu kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Dorin Cârstoiu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of U Craiova booed when AFC Ivanda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ionică Dobrotă didn't get a good kick on the ball. 84 minutes into the match, U Craiova's Ştefan Stârcea sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ionuț Bulencea narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When U Craiova's Horea Frumușanu in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye AFC Ivanda's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of U Craiova booed when AFC Ivanda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ilie Tăutu didn't get a good kick on the ball. U Craiova's Romeo Crețulescu got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. U Craiova had played much better football throughout.
