In the 35th minute Petre Tătaru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Suşu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Romeo Rusu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Manuel Suşu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gilau's Manuel Suşu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petre Tătaru in the 39th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Petre Tătaru to make the kick off. In the 55th match minute, ritzanu1 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eusebiu Ghionaru to maneuver through the defense. 58 minutes into the match, ritzanu1's goal looked a bit too open when Alin Dejeu came free, but Claudiu Butuc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. ritzanu1's Claudiu Butuc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petre Zub in the 59th minute of play. The supporters of Gilau booed when ritzanu1 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mugur Aliuta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gilau's Manuel Suşu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Gilau from getting a goal against them. Cezar Cîrțu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Petre Zub had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some careless play in the ritzanu1 defense, Petre Zub kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Claudiu Butuc. The ritzanu1 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Claudiu Butuc should have stopped the shot. After 94 minutes, Cezar Cîrțu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ritzanu1 and the Gilau players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 94th match minute, ritzanu1 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cezar Cîrțu to maneuver through the defense. Codrin Târban took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 96th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Claudiu Butuc. ritzanu1's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
