Spectators: 7671 (Terracing: 5754, Seating: 1764, VIP seats: 153) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Horaţiu Zmărăndache started the match with the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Romeo Gușatu in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Niculae Urducea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mugur Noica's late challenge caught a ASU POLI TIMISOARA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mugur Noica helped the player get up and apologised. Mugur Noica hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Niculae Urducea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iulian Sărăroiu in the 17th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Horaţiu Zmărăndache hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Iustin Rebengiuc charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Iustin Rebengiuc the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 25 played minutes Club13 got a freekick which was hit by Iustin Rebengiuc. The audience was convinced that Romeo Gușatu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Niculae Urducea was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Niculae Urducea made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Romeo Gușatu sent off a good shot on target. 37 minutes into the match, Club13's Mugur Noica sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Horea Chirculescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 43rd minute, Club13's Ernest Hoancă seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ernest Hoancă the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Club13 protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ernest Hoancă had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Niculae Urducea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romeo Gușatu, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Romeo Gușatu made a kick off. Niculae Urducea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iulian Sărăroiu in the 52nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, ASU POLI TIMISOARA's Alin Mardare got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Niculae Urducea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romeo Gușatu in the 62nd minute of the match. Petre Corbuț recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 83rd minute, Cosmin Bârza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 86 minutes into the game, one of Club13:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 87th minute, Romeo Gușatu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Niculae Urducea was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 91st minute Virgil Ardeleanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niculae Urducea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There was no doubt that ASU POLI TIMISOARA were the better team. ASU POLI TIMISOARA's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
