FC Universitatea Cluj's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Comeat the free kick. In the 2nd minute, Alin Dică hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Giannis Kalomiris took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Traian Armanca to make any attempt to save it. In the 12th minute Mădălin Alucai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iustinian Zmărăndache saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 14 minutes into the match, Comeat's goal looked a bit too open when Giannis Kalomiris came free, but Traian Armanca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Universitatea Cluj's Iustinian Zmărăndache played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mădălin Alucai in the 19th minute of play. FC Universitatea Cluj's supporters crossed their fingers, but Giannis Kalomiris was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 46th minute, Fellipe Guedes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Giannis Kalomiris in the 66th minute of play forced Comeat's goalkeeper Traian Armanca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pantaley Ganev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Traian Armanca having to interfere. After 77 minutes of play, FC Universitatea Cluj's Fellipe Guedes made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Traian Armanca was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Alin Dică was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 80 minutes had been played. After 80 played minutes FC Universitatea Cluj got a freekick which was hit by Alin Dică. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giannis Kalomiris in the 83rd minute of play forced Comeat's goalkeeper Traian Armanca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Giannis Kalomiris sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Comeat's Irinel Pivniceru got a free kick in the 87th minute. Traian Armanca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giannis Kalomiris in the 89th minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. FC Universitatea Cluj fully deserved thier win.
