Iurie Bucur was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fellipe Guedes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, FC Universitatea Cluj's Pantaley Ganev got a free kick in the 20th minute. Iustinian Zmărăndache showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Doloman in the 29th minute of the match. Iustinian Zmărăndache took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandru Isaicu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st minute Daniel Vătăşel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iustinian Zmărăndache saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Doloman took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Iustinian Zmărăndache. Iustinian Zmărăndache dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Alexandru Isaicu hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. FC Universitatea Cluj's Iustinian Zmărăndache played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Doloman in the 40th minute of play. Iustinian Zmărăndache made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from George Cârneci in the 41st minute of play. Fellipe Guedes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Iustinian Zmărăndache showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Doloman in the 46th minute of the match. When Pantaley Ganev fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Universitatea Cluj's protests and gave Pantaley Ganev a yellow card for diving instead. In the 47th match minute, FC Universitatea Cluj was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pantaley Ganev to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Tym Tym were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for George Cârneci to strike the kick off in the second half. Daniel Vătăşel hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Giannis Kalomiris blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Iurie Bucur having to make a save. Fellipe Guedes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Giannis Kalomiris fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iurie Bucur having to interfere. If Fellipe Guedes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iurie Bucur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fellipe Guedes in the 65th minute of play. In the 67th minute, Giannis Kalomiris left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Universitatea Cluj fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. If Alexandru Isaicu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tym Tym's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
