In the 6th match minute, Smirna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudiu Itu to maneuver through the defense. BANAT VIOLA's Mădălin Bârlea was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Vintilă Olariu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 12th minute of the match, Emilian Comăneci tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Vintilă Olariu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Smirna's defense didn't have a chance, in the 14th minute, when Emilian Comăneci scored to the left of an out of position Vintilă Olariu, making the score, 2-0. Liviu Hănescu in the 17thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Vintilă Olariu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 19th minute of the game Eugen Drăucean made a throw-in which Liviu Hănescu played forward. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Emilian Comăneci took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Vintilă Olariu to make any attempt to save it. Vintilă Olariu made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Emilian Comăneci sent off a good shot on target. If Emilian Comăneci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vintilă Olariu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustavo-Hernán Colidio, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. The supporters of Smirna booed when BANAT VIOLA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emilian Comăneci didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd minute, Gigi Barbu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vintilă Olariu was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Emilian Comăneci took a quick shot and it went in 5-0 without a chance for Vintilă Olariu to make any attempt to save it. Smirna's Vintilă Olariu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emilian Comăneci in the 42nd minute of play. In the 46th match minute, Smirna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marin Augustin to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Smirna's Vintilă Olariu got control of the ball when Liviu Hănescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Gustavo-Hernán Colidio made the kick off in the second half. Smirna's Vintilă Olariu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emilian Comăneci in the 51st minute of play. BANAT VIOLA's Mădălin Bârlea got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Smirna's Francisc Moiș got a free kick in the 56th minute. Vintilă Olariu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo-Hernán Colidio in the 57th minute of the match. After 59 played minutes, BANAT VIOLA's Liviu Hănescu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Vintilă Olariu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in BANAT VIOLA reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo-Hernán Colidio in the 60th minute of play forced Smirna's goalkeeper Vintilă Olariu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st minute Emilian Comăneci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vintilă Olariu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gustavo-Hernán Colidio scored 6-0 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vintilă Olariu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Vintilă Olariu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gigi Barbu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 68 minutes into the game, BANAT VIOLA's Emilian Comăneci nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vintilă Olariu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. Lucian Negulescu hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. 75 minutes into the game, Liviu Hănescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Vintilă Olariu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Smirna's Vintilă Olariu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Liviu Hănescu in the 78th minute of play. In the 79th match minute, BANAT VIOLA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustavo-Hernán Colidio to maneuver through the defense. If Adrian Miroiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Smirna's Lucian Negulescu got a free kick in the 82nd minute. After having played for 84 minutes, Liviu Hănescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BANAT VIOLA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Liviu Hănescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Smirna defense, Gustavo-Hernán Colidio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vintilă Olariu. The Smirna fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vintilă Olariu should have stopped the shot. Smirna's Vintilă Olariu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Liviu Hănescu in the 90th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Emilian Comăneci ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vintilă Olariu was frozen by the shot and now it was 10-0. When the referee ended the match the BANAT VIOLA players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
