Liga Lui BuNiCu's supporters rose to their feet, but Emanuel Stelian was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dumitru Cîrțu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Emanuel Stelian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 17 minutes, Mick Shilton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. EMF Academia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mick Shilton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Iosif Barbu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24thth minute of the game Mick Shilton who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Liga Lui BuNiCu's Aurel Dobrin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Liga Lui BuNiCu's Emanuel Stelian got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aurel Dobrin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Claudiu Gârbovan in the 30th minute. If Codrin Chioreanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Emanuel Stelian fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Liga Lui BuNiCu's protests and gave Emanuel Stelian a yellow card for diving instead. In the 35th minute, Emanuel Stelian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in EMF Academia's zone, Iosif Barbu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dumitru Cîrțu came out of the goal and Iosif Barbu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The wind increased when Güngör Çolakoğlu made the kick off in the second half. Codrin Chioreanu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aurel Dobrin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Güngör Çolakoğlu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 59 minutes, Dragoş Paulică mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Liga Lui BuNiCu and the EMF Academia players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 59 played minutes Liga Lui BuNiCu got a freekick which was hit by Dragoş Paulică. In the 62nd match minute, EMF Academia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mick Shilton to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute, Iosif Barbu made a precise shot to the right of Dumitru Cîrțu. EMF Academia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. The supporters of Liga Lui BuNiCu booed when EMF Academia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flavius Gheorghe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aurel Dobrin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mick Shilton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Liga Lui BuNiCu's zone, Claudiu Gârbovan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aurel Dobrin came out of the goal and Claudiu Gârbovan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dragoş Paulică kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, EMF Academia could leave the field as winners, despite Liga Lui BuNiCu having more of the ball for most of the match.
