Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Iustinian Anisie kicked off to start the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Garcovul's Sergiu Levința slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dumitru Cîrțu. That made the score 1-0 after 3 minutes of play. In the 6th match minute, EMF Academia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Codrin Chioreanu to maneuver through the defense. 8 minutes into the game, Leonel Caitano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. EMF Academia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Garcovul the free kick. EMF Academia's Dumitru Cîrțu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save EMF Academia from getting a goal against them. In the 15th minute, Codrin Chioreanu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The EMF Academia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Codrin Chioreanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Gigi Zamfira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, Codrin Chioreanu notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Garcovul's Gigi Zamfira. Gigi Zamfira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 31st minute, Flavius Gheorghe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. EMF Academia's Mick Shilton got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Denis Zdrenţu hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mick Shilton in the 41st minute of play forced Garcovul's goalkeeper Gigi Zamfira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Traian Şoiman shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. After the first half EMF Academia were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mick Shilton to strike the kick off in the second half. Codrin Chioreanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gigi Zamfira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mick Shilton, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Dumitru Cîrțu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugen Crăiță, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Codrin Chioreanu struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Gigi Zamfira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for EMF Academia. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Codrin Chioreanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. EMF Academia's supporters rose to their feet, but Codrin Chioreanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gigi Zamfira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Codrin Chioreanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gigi Zamfira having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Mick Shilton managed to get in a good position for a shot. EMF Academia's supporters rose to their feet, but Mick Shilton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gigi Zamfira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Codrin Chioreanu's late challenge caught a Garcovul's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Codrin Chioreanu helped the player get up and apologised. Codrin Chioreanu kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. EMF Academia had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
