Codrin Chioreanus short, quick shot in the 18thth minute got Cazimir Belu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ştefan Alb kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Costin Arvinte hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. When Pavel Arșanu fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Scrioastea's protests and gave Pavel Arșanu a yellow card for diving instead. After 27 played minutes EMF Academia got a freekick which was hit by Codrin Chioreanu. Scrioastea's Cazimir Belu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Scrioastea from getting a goal against them. Cazimir Belu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mick Shilton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mick Shilton in the 36th minute of play forced Scrioastea's goalkeeper Cazimir Belu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Stelian Floreanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 40 played minutes Mick Shilton rounded Scrioastea's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-0. 48 minutes into the match, Claudiu Gârbovan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cazimir Belu. Scrioastea's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Claudiu Gârbovan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mick Shilton to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, Codrin Chioreanu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Mick Shilton charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Cazimir Belu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for EMF Academia. But to his dismay, Codrin Chioreanu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Cazimir Belu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudiu Gârbovan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cazimir Belu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudiu Gârbovan in the 76th minute of the match. The supporters of Scrioastea booed when EMF Academia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mick Shilton didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 82nd minute Mick Shilton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cazimir Belu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Remus Plăcintă kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Cazimir Belu came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by EMF Academia's Mick Shilton. But to his dismay, Mick Shilton quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. If Claudiu Gârbovan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute.
