Batalionul U23 Dorobanti were awarded a corner in the 7th minute after ionion's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ponce Cruzado took the corner. Panait Oprea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Igor Kelemen having to interfere. ionion's Fabio Abalos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wagner Doro in the 16th minute of play. Karl-Michael Brask blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fabio Abalos having to make a save. In the 21st match minute, Batalionul U23 Dorobanti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wagner Doro to maneuver through the defense. Paul Stoian kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. In the 23rd minute, Grigore Pădure made a precise shot to the right of Igor Kelemen. Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. A nice corner shot did that Ponce Cruzado got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Fabio Abalos quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 29th minute Marijan Ojdanić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Igor Kelemen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to ionion getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Dominik Šepetavec hit a great ball. Fabio Abalos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Karl-Michael Brask's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Fabio Abalos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl-Michael Brask in the 38th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Karl-Michael Brask during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Karl-Michael Brask made a kick off. When Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Karl-Michael Brask in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. It was Ponce Cruzado who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Ponce Cruzado to fire away a dangerous shot which Fabio Abalos despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Igor Kelemen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Panait Oprea in the 59th minute of play. When Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Ernie Ball in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Ernie Ball sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Igor Kelemen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marijan Ojdanić in the 68th minute of the match. Mugur Bejan kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Diego Tristan was substituted for Rareș Hănescu. In the 76th minute, Mugur Bejan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Grigore Pădure, 76 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 79th minute, Ernie Ball left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Batalionul U23 Dorobanti fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 83rd minute Ernie Ball shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabio Abalos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Diego Tristan's late challenge caught a ionion's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diego Tristan helped the player get up and apologised. In the 85th minute, Diego Tristan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot by Grigore Pădure from long distance, 86 minutes into the match, got Igor Kelemen's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Fabio Abalos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernie Ball in the 87th minute of the match. ionion's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Grigore Pădure in the 92nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernie Ball in the 96th minute of play forced ionion's goalkeeper Fabio Abalos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the ionion players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
