After a rather tough play, FC Oltul Slatina's Denis Cângea got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Karl-Michael Brask sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Manuel Lovinescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl-Michael Brask, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Karl-Michael Brask managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ernie Ball scored 1-1 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Manuel Lovinescu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Iurie Avacariței recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 69 minutes into the match, FC Oltul Slatina's goal looked a bit too open when Ernie Ball came free, but Manuel Lovinescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Batalionul U23 Dorobanti getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Ponce Cruzado hit a great ball. FC Oltul Slatina's Matei Mârza was substituted for Dragoş Arnăuțescu. In the 87th minute, Ernie Ball ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Manuel Lovinescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. The audience was convinced that Ernie Ball's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Manuel Lovinescu was relentless in the 95th minute of the game.
