Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Mihnea Moțoc kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute, Mihnea Moțoc got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gloria Buzău's Ciprian Butuc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mihnea Moțoc in the 6th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mihnea Moțoc in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ciprian Butuc saved Gloria Buzău from getting behind. After some careless play in the Gloria Buzău defense, Nechifor Dordea kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ciprian Butuc. The Gloria Buzău fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ciprian Butuc should have stopped the shot. In the 15th minute, Marin Panescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ciprian Butuc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Florean in the 18th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moise Geantă in the 19th minute of play forced Gloria Buzău's goalkeeper Ciprian Butuc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luca Mihu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 21stth minute, Paul Simionescu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ionuț Manolescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paul Simionescu having to interfere. Gloria Buzău's Ciprian Butuc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moise Geantă in the 40th minute of play. Moise Geantă took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ciprian Butuc. Ciprian Butuc dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Nechifor Dordea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ciprian Butuc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mihnea Moțoc in the 44th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ionuț Manolescu made a kick off. Denis Bărnuțiu was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 52 minutes into the match. Denis Bărnuțiu kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. 53 minutes into the match, CLUB GALATI's goal looked a bit too open when Ionică Huștea came free, but Paul Simionescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Prosper Harnikov during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Gloria Buzău booed when CLUB GALATI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Prosper Harnikov didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th minute, Ionică Huștea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 58 minutes of play, CLUB GALATI's Ole-Einar Skåre made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ciprian Butuc was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mihnea Moțoc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ciprian Butuc came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by CLUB GALATI's Ole-Einar Skåre. But to his dismay, Ole-Einar Skåre quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. Mihnea Moțoc in the 84thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ciprian Butuc, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 87thth minute of the game Mihnea Moțoc who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gloria Buzău's Ciprian Butuc was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mihnea Moțoc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Ciprian Butuc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paul Simionescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ionuț Manolescu in the 93rd minute of play. The Gloria Buzău players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
