In the 15th minute of the match F.C Petru B.U.C got a corner. Red Dogs's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alexandru Perișoară ran over to the corner to take the kick. Alexander Rossi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisc Buteanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Allard Borgman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lorenzo Marcones in the 21st minute of play. In the 34th minute, Lorenzo Marcones ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Allard Borgman was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Barry Zalm's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Allard Borgman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. After 38 played minutes F.C Petru B.U.C got a freekick which was hit by Dorin Mercescu. If Barry Zalm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Maria Almiron in the 40th minute of play forced F.C Petru B.U.C's goalkeeper Allard Borgman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olimpiu Buricea kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. 45 minutes into the match, Red Dogs's José Maria Almiron sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Allard Borgman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The wind increased when José Maria Almiron made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Pankracy Adamowicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexander Rossi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 55 minutes into the match, Red Dogs's goalkeeper Alexander Rossi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisc Buteanu. Barry Zalm might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Allard Borgman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Barry Zalm ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 64th match minute, Red Dogs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Prince Blaine to maneuver through the defense. Francisc Buteanu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Alexander Rossi made a huge save. F.C Petru B.U.C's Allard Borgman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Maria Almiron in the 67th minute of play. After 68 played minutes F.C Petru B.U.C got a freekick which was hit by Moise Roşca. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Maria Almiron in the 69th minute of play forced F.C Petru B.U.C's goalkeeper Allard Borgman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Allard Borgman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Maria Almiron in the 71st minute of the match. Francisc Buteanu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alexander Rossi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Barry Zalm in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Allard Borgman saved F.C Petru B.U.C from getting behind. Allard Borgman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Barry Zalm's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Alexander Rossi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisc Buteanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. During the 87th minute of the match Mihail Boroș completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Mihail Boroș a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Francisc Buteanu struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Alexander Rossi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for F.C Petru B.U.C. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dorin Mercescu during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Red Dogs fans cheered their team off the field, for while F.C Petru B.U.C had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
