Spectators: 8133 (Terracing: 6101, Seating: 1871, VIP seats: 161) Nistor Popilean started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 5 minutes in the game, Luca Lechințan fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Bogdan Şimandan having to interfere. Sir Alexandria's Nistor Popilean got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The corner led to FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's Costin Malcoci getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. If Luca Lechințan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Ejvind Kirkemand hit a great ball. In the 19th minute Nistor Popilean shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucrețiu Sfetcu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bogdan Şimandan made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Costin Malcoci sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tzonyo Viyachki in the 25th minute of play forced FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's goalkeeper Lucrețiu Sfetcu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pompiliu Pociu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Lucrețiu Sfetcu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pompiliu Pociu might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lucrețiu Sfetcu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pompiliu Pociu ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nistor Popilean in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lucrețiu Sfetcu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bogdan Şimandan made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Costin Malcoci sent off a good shot on target. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's goalkeeper Lucrețiu Sfetcu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's Lucrețiu Sfetcu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pompiliu Pociu in the 47th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

53 minutes into the match, Sir Alexandria's goal looked a bit too open when Costin Malcoci came free, but Bogdan Şimandan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lucrețiu Sfetcu made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Nistor Popilean sent off a good shot on target. Lucrețiu Sfetcu was a little too slow when Nistor Popilean got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 58th minute. The score was now 1-1. 60 minutes into the match, FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's Costin Malcoci sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bogdan Şimandan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's Horia Chioreanu was substituted for Costin Malcoci. In the 67th minute, Horia Chioreanu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's Silviu Latarețu was substituted for Valer Perișoară. After a defensive mix-up in FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's zone, Nistor Popilean stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lucrețiu Sfetcu came out of the goal and Nistor Popilean tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Manuel Tunaru hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 78th minute Sir Alexandria were awarded a corner. Eric Alexa went to the cornerflag to take it. After having played for 81 minutes, Adrian Nasta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adrian Nasta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pompiliu Pociu in the 83rd minute of play forced FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's goalkeeper Lucrețiu Sfetcu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The long shot by Tzeko Dyulgerski in the 87th minute really tested Lucrețiu Sfetcu's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Pompiliu Pociu struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Lucrețiu Sfetcu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sir Alexandria. Nistor Popilean sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Nistor Popilean had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
