With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ernesto Esposito in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bogdan Şimandan saved Sir Alexandria from getting behind. Ernesto Esposito's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 12thth minute, Bogdan Şimandan skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Sir Alexandria's Bogdan Şimandan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Sir Alexandria from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Nistor Popilean put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Dacian Cristoiu. 21 minutes into the match, Olympic CF's goal looked a bit too open when Domenico Serafini came free, but Dacian Cristoiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dacian Cristoiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nistor Popilean in the 22nd minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Sir Alexandria's Pompiliu Pociu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dacian Cristoiu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Olympic CF's Mădălin Bocșan got a free kick in the 25th minute. Dacian Cristoiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pompiliu Pociu in the 28th minute of the match. Tzonyo Viyachki hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. In the 41stth minute of the game Nistor Popilean who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Olympic CF's Dacian Cristoiu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Nistor Popilean put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Dacian Cristoiu. Bogdan Şimandan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ernesto Esposito's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nistor Popilean made a kick off. After 58 minutes, Ernesto Esposito mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Olympic CF and the Sir Alexandria players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 58th match minute, Olympic CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernesto Esposito to maneuver through the defense. Nistor Popilean struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Dacian Cristoiu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sir Alexandria. After a rather tough play, Olympic CF's Armağan Özaltan got a free kick in the 64th minute. Sir Alexandria made a substitution. Rüknettin Toktahan replaced Călin Lemnaru. With a little luck, Olympic CF's Dacian Cristoiu got control of the ball when Pompiliu Pociu tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nistor Popilean got free with Dacian Cristoiu in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 75 minutes of play Olympic CF's Ernesto Esposito was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 77th match minute, Olympic CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Froilan Clementi to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Olympic CF's zone, Eric Alexa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dacian Cristoiu came out of the goal and Eric Alexa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dacian Cristoiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tzonyo Viyachki in the 88th minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, Sir Alexandria's goal looked a bit too open when Armağan Özaltan came free, but Bogdan Şimandan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 95 played minutes Sir Alexandria got a freekick which was hit by Sanford Glenn. Bogdan Şimandan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horaţiu Dijmărescu in the 97th minute of play. In the 98th minute Olympic CF were awarded a corner. Horaţiu Dijmărescu went to the cornerflag to take it. Froilan Clementi was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post.
