David Turlea was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anthony Ryf in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. After 29 played minutes, Zimnicea's Augustin Lovinescu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Marius Nicodim came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Zimnicea reached it. Felix Hosu kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. 36 minutes into the match, Zimnicea's goal looked a bit too open when Leontin Birișu came free, but David Turlea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Mugur Stan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Turlea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anthony Ryf in the 40th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Teodor Unchiaşu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 55th minute, Teodor Unchiaşu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Marius Nicodim. The goal made the score 2-1. In the 58th minute Leontin Birișu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Turlea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iacob Jucan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Iosif Armeanca hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. The supporters of FC RAPID TÂRGOVIȘTE booed when Zimnicea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Liviu Panduru didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th minute of the match Anthony Ryf sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but David Turlea skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to FC RAPID TÂRGOVIȘTE getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Vitório Penha hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mugur Stan in the 71st minute of play forced FC RAPID TÂRGOVIȘTE's goalkeeper Marius Nicodim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marius Nicodim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Chiru, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Alexandru Burileanu hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. David Turlea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anthony Ryf in the 83rd minute of play. In the 85th minute, Anthony Ryf got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 88 minutes into the match, Leontin Birișu notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Zimnicea's David Turlea. David Turlea was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. There was no doubt that FC RAPID TÂRGOVIȘTE were the better team. FC RAPID TÂRGOVIȘTE's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
