Madridus's Dobromir Golec proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Madridus from getting a goal against them. Dobromir Golec was out of position in the 6 minute of play, and Eusebiu Barbă capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Eusebiu Barbă really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Madridus's zone, Ivar Olsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dobromir Golec came out of the goal and Ivar Olsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Benedicto Santikurtz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dacian Răduța, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dobromir Golec made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivar Olsson in the 11th minute of play. Iustinian Gruia hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Domingo Salomon hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Madridus's defense didn't have a chance, in the 18th minute, when Ivar Olsson scored to the left of an out of position Dobromir Golec, making the score, 2-0. After a rather tough play, Madridus's Iustinian Gruia got a free kick in the 20th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eusebiu Barbă got free with Dobromir Golec in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Dacian Răduța came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Madridus fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dacian Răduța couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Fulgerul Braila booed when Madridus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horia Muja didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eusebiu Barbă made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 28thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Dobromir Golec would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. When Eusebiu Barbă, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 28 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Dobromir Golec was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. If Ştefan Măcrineanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dobromir Golec made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eusebiu Barbă in the 36th minute. In the 38th minute Ştefan Măcrineanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dobromir Golec saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ştefan Măcrineanu scored 3-0 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dobromir Golec, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ivar Olsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Dobromir Golec tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eusebiu Barbă could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Dobromir Golec made a huge save. In the 46th match minute, Fulgerul Braila was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ştefan Măcrineanu to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Dacian Răduța made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivar Olsson in the 53rd minute of play forced Madridus's goalkeeper Dobromir Golec to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dacian Răduța fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benedicto Santikurtz having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Eusebiu Barbă put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Dobromir Golec. Ivar Olsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
