FC Izesti's defense didn't have a chance, in the 3rd minute, when Dumitru Achiriloaie scored to the left of an out of position Antoni Osielski, making the score, 1-0. In the 7th minute Cezar Zmărăndache shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mihnea Aldea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mihnea Aldea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cezar Zmărăndache in the 13th minute of play. Gigel Lozovan hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 27 minutes into the game, when Dominik Posadzki put in a rough tackle. Antoni Osielski went to the wrong direction when Aristide Bălașa was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Mihnea Aldea came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by FC Izesti's Andre Mosselveld. But to his dismay, Andre Mosselveld quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 41st minute, Andre Mosselveld made a precise shot to the right of Mihnea Aldea. FC Botosani's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. After the first half FC Izesti were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Victor Homeag to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 50th match minute, FC Izesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aron Bilașco to maneuver through the defense. Dumitru Achiriloaie struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Antoni Osielski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Botosani. When Andre Mosselveld came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the FC Izesti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andre Mosselveld couldn't finish the play. Mihnea Aldea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cezar Zmărăndache in the 55th minute of play. With an all-out effort, FC Izesti's Mihnea Aldea threw himself towards the right post 57 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cezar Zmărăndache, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 68 minutes into the match, FC Botosani's goalkeeper Mihnea Aldea had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andre Mosselveld. In the 69thth minute of the game Dumitru Achiriloaie who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Izesti's Antoni Osielski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. FC Botosani's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Andre Mosselveld 77 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-4. Mihnea Aldea stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cezar Zmărăndache's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. FC Botosani's Mihnea Aldea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save FC Botosani from getting a goal against them. Antoni Osielski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dumitru Achiriloaie, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute.
