In the 46th minute, Stig-Ove Odman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Jean Diniz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Petrică Udrescu to make the kick off. Stig-Ove Odman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 87th minute, Anton Stelaru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fabiano Marrone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jean Diniz, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. The FC UMBRE players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
