After the first half Salas AS were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dodo Simatupang to make the kick off. Wojciech Hajduk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eric Leahu in the 52nd minute of play. Marian Hanganu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dodo Simatupang, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. After 65 minutes of play, Steaua Botosani - BTF's Jeff Davila made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marian Hanganu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Salas AS made a substitution. Ion Poenaru replaced Cosmin Manciu. Marian Hanganu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeff Davila in the 76th minute of the match. Marian Hanganu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dodo Simatupang's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. In the 85th minute Jeff Davila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marian Hanganu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marian Hanganu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jeff Davila went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. Eric Leahu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Wojciech Hajduk made a huge save. When the final whistle sounded Salas AS left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Steaua Botosani - BTF.
