After a rather tough play, Salas AS's Kilian Bouziane got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Eric Leahu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Esteban Ralondo having to make a save. Esteban Ralondo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eric Leahu in the 7th minute of the match. 12 minutes into the match, Thracian F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Eric Leahu came free, but Esteban Ralondo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th minute Valeriu Zdrenghea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esteban Ralondo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 14 played minutes Thracian F.C got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Chivu. A collision led to Thracian F.C getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Pavel Cenușă hit a great ball. In the 16th minute of the match Călin Balcan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Esteban Ralondo skillfully saved the ball. After having played for 19 minutes, Octav Horea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Thracian F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Octav Horea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eric Leahu in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Esteban Ralondo saved Thracian F.C from getting behind. Marian Hanganu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Octav Horea in the 26th minute of play. Marian Hanganu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Octav Horea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Salas AS's Valeriu Zdrenghea in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Thracian F.C's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Octav Horea in the 31st minute of play forced Salas AS's goalkeeper Marian Hanganu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thracian F.C's Esteban Ralondo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by La Boteanu in the 33rd minute of play. Cornel Jecu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Esteban Ralondo made a huge save. 37 minutes into the match, Thracian F.C's goalkeeper Esteban Ralondo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eric Leahu. Octav Horea struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Marian Hanganu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Thracian F.C. Thracian F.C's Esteban Ralondo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Thracian F.C from getting a goal against them. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

La Boteanu scored 1-0 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Esteban Ralondo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Salas AS booed when Thracian F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandu Elisei didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thracian F.C made a substitution. Francisc Popan replaced Gelu Lera. Thracian F.C's Gavril Bleoancă was substituted for Pavel Cenușă. Salas AS's Ion Poenaru was substituted for Cosmin Manciu. Sandu Elisei kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Sandu Elisei hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. In the 77th minute Cornel Jecu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esteban Ralondo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78th minute of the match Salas AS got a corner. Thracian F.C's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Victor Tache hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Pompiliu Barascu lost his temper 84 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 83rd minute of the game. One of Thracian F.C:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Salas AS:s goal. After 86 minutes, Octav Horea mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Thracian F.C and the Salas AS players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Thracian F.C getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Octav Horea hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Valeriu Zdrenghea managed to get in a good position for a shot. Salas AS's supporters rose to their feet, but Valeriu Zdrenghea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Esteban Ralondo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 93 minutes into the match, Thracian F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Eric Leahu came free, but Esteban Ralondo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 93 minutes of play, Salas AS's Eric Leahu made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Esteban Ralondo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Octav Horea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
