After 8 played minutes Thracian F.C got a freekick which was hit by Pompiliu Barascu. Dorel Tomoioagă charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dorel Tomoioagă the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to FC Dacii Liberi - IASI getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Dorel Tomoioagă hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Octav Horea in the 10th minute of play forced FC Dacii Liberi - IASI's goalkeeper Mihnea Suşu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gelu Lera during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gelu Lera kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Isidoro Bizi made in the 14th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Dorel Tomoioagă immediately put the ball in play. Thracian F.C's Esteban Ralondo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Thracian F.C from getting a goal against them. Octav Horea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mihnea Suşu having to interfere. Esteban Ralondo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaizko Abaurre in the 20th minute of the match. Mihnea Suşu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Octav Horea in the 23rd minute of play. After having played for 24 minutes, Octav Horea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Thracian F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Octav Horea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 26 played minutes Thracian F.C got a freekick which was hit by Pavel Cenușă. Benedicto Abello was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 26th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Bogdan Chelaru in the 28thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Esteban Ralondo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A collision led to Thracian F.C getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Sandu Elisei hit a great ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gaizko Abaurre was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Cătălin Vătăşel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mihnea Suşu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Octav Horea in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 55th match minute, Thracian F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Octav Horea to maneuver through the defense. Octav Horea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mihnea Suşu having to interfere. In the 65th minute of the match Marcel Zgrăbunţa shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mihnea Suşu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Victor Tache recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mihnea Suşu made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Victor Tache sent off a good shot on target. Octav Horea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mihnea Suşu having to interfere. Thracian F.C made a substitution. Francisc Popan replaced Gelu Lera. Isidoro Bizi made in the 73rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Thracian F.C's Sandu Elisei. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benedicto Abello in the 74th minute of play forced Thracian F.C's goalkeeper Esteban Ralondo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thracian F.C's Esteban Ralondo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bogdan Chelaru in the 76th minute of play. Octav Horea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mihnea Suşu having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in FC Dacii Liberi - IASI's zone, Octav Horea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mihnea Suşu came out of the goal and Octav Horea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
