Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5875, Seating: 1575, VIP seats: 50) Baba Novac made the kick off and thus started the match. Hugo Pååk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diederick Englebert in the 6th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Diederick Englebert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diederick Englebert in the 18th minute of play forced Inter Canesti's goalkeeper Hugo Pååk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th minute Sever Tomulescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Pååk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Otsoa Manzardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A throw-in in the 34th minute of the game was made by Marco Reus with David Pacuraru as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Ramon Eufemio was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 36th minute. Inter Canesti's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Otsoa Manzardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Pååk having to interfere. 42 minutes into the game, Sever Tomulescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Hugo Pååk was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 47 minutes into the game, Baba Novac recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ernest Inculeț. Baba Novac showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Fc Universitatea Cluj made a substitution. Jürgen Tihkan replaced Saul Soputan. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Fc Universitatea Cluj's Ernest Inculeț played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramon Eufemio in the 58th minute of play. 60 minutes into the game, Sever Tomulescu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hugo Pååk. Sever Tomulescu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Ernest Inculeț came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Inter Canesti's Baba Novac. But to his dismay, Baba Novac quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. In the 73rd minute, Otsoa Manzardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ernest Inculeț showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baba Novac, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. In the 78th match minute, Inter Canesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baba Novac to maneuver through the defense. Hugo Pååk was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Sever Tomulescu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-3 in the 79 minute of play. Hugo Pååk didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sever Tomulescu went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. Baba Novac hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Sever Tomulescu in the 96thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Hugo Pååk, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Fc Universitatea Cluj's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
