Codrin Coșmeanu might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hugo Pååk. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Codrin Coșmeanu ran back to his position shaking his head. Filip Râznicu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Baba Novac's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. In the 21st minute of the match Inter Canesti got a corner. Academy 01's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lucian Florescu ran over to the corner to take the kick. Hugo Pååk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Codrin Coșmeanu in the 24th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the match, Inter Canesti's goal looked a bit too open when Denis Costescu came free, but Hugo Pååk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Filip Râznicu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gigi Medeleanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Hugo Pååk stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Florin Urseanu's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. After a rather tough play, Inter Canesti's Valeriu Gheție got a free kick in the 41st minute. After 43 played minutes Inter Canesti got a freekick which was hit by Toader Brad. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Baba Novac during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 48 played minutes Inter Canesti got a freekick which was hit by Baba Novac. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Baba Novac was the one to do the kick off. Lucian Șofran hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. 57 minutes into the match, Inter Canesti's goal looked a bit too open when Denis Costescu came free, but Hugo Pååk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th minute, Baba Novac got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 64 minutes into the game, Inter Canesti's Baba Novac nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Filip Râznicu came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Inter Canesti's Baba Novac. But to his dismay, Baba Novac quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Hugo Pååk was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Florin Urseanu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-2 in the 80 minute of play. Codrin Coșmeanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Pååk having to interfere.
