Codrin Coșmeanu made a great header on Academy 01's corner, it was just that ABR RAHOVA's Calle Arensberg managed to reach the ball for a save. Academy 01's Florin Urseanu got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Florin Urseanu got free with Calle Arensberg in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Academy 01 defense, Niculae Ichim kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Filip Râznicu. The Academy 01 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Filip Râznicu should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, ABR RAHOVA's Felix Tănase got a free kick in the 44th minute. Calle Arensberg acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 45th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Dacian Ciorbea. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Niculae Ichim made the kick off in the second half. Calle Arensberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Codrin Coșmeanu in the 51st minute of the match.
