The supporters of FC Arges Dacia Pitesti booed when Muscelul Campulung was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Taisto Bruun hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. 16 minutes into the match, FC Arges Dacia Pitesti's goal looked a bit too open when Denis Moculescu came free, but Isidor Quintarnaya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute Basarab Aldescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isidor Quintarnaya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marian Găvan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Cazimir Orghidan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 46 minutes of play, Muscelul Campulung's Denis Moculescu made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Isidor Quintarnaya was left in no man's land by his defense there! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mihai Grozuță made a kick off. Panait Moldovan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 57th minute, Valeriu Croitoru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Muscelul Campulung's Cazimir Orghidan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mihai Grozuță in the 59th minute of play. In the 61st minute, Răzvan Florescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cazimir Orghidan was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Isidor Quintarnaya took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Denis Moculescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Panait Moldovan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 70 minutes into the game, FC Arges Dacia Pitesti's Stelian Frățilă nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cazimir Orghidan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. A collision led to Muscelul Campulung getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Tenyo Sheynov hit a great ball. After 75 played minutes, FC Arges Dacia Pitesti's Răzvan Florescu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cazimir Orghidan came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Arges Dacia Pitesti reached it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Răzvan Florescu during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
