The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Dinu Săvoiu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to POLI TIMISOARA getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Tudor Bărnuțiu hit a great ball. Iurie Praporgescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Dinu Săvoiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sampdoria's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
