Spectators: 8071 (Terracing: 6055, Seating: 1856, VIP seats: 160) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Iurie Praporgescu made the kick off which started today's match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Iurie Praporgescu in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sabin Schiau prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 11 minutes, Panait Zdroană mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sampdoria and the FC Cosaci players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 11th match minute, Sampdoria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Panait Zdroană to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th minute of the match Doru Mantoiu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gică Nestor showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 13 minutes into the match, FC Cosaci's goal looked a bit too open when Iurie Praporgescu came free, but Sabin Schiau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th minute Moise Mercea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sabin Schiau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cezar Hoduț charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cezar Hoduț the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 16 played minutes FC Cosaci got a freekick which was hit by Cezar Hoduț. In the 17th match minute, FC Cosaci was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iulian Trăistaru to maneuver through the defense. In the 20th minute of the match Panait Zdroană shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sabin Schiau showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Iurie Praporgescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sabin Schiau was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Gică Nestor came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Cosaci's Marian Neculuță. But to his dismay, Marian Neculuță quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sever Cornoiu during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 30 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sampdoria! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Iurie Praporgescu in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sabin Schiau saved FC Cosaci from getting behind. In the 34th minute Iurie Praporgescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sabin Schiau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35thth minute of the game Iurie Praporgescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Cosaci's Sabin Schiau was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sabin Schiau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iurie Praporgescu in the 36th minute of play. Iulian Trăistaru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gică Nestor having to interfere. After 39 minutes of play, Sampdoria's Iurie Praporgescu made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sabin Schiau was left in no man's land by his defense there! Moise Mercea scored 1-2 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sabin Schiau, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 49th minute of the match FC Cosaci got a corner. Sampdoria's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cezar Hoduț ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Aurel Dănănae got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 2-2. 49 minutes into the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cezar Hoduț to make the kick off. Sabin Schiau stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Moise Mercea's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Iurie Praporgescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Sabin Schiau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, FC Cosaci's Sabin Schiau got control of the ball when Iurie Praporgescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Iurie Praporgescus short, quick shot in the 69thth minute got Sabin Schiau to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moise Mercea in the 71st minute of play forced FC Cosaci's goalkeeper Sabin Schiau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a left leg Sabin Schiau saved FC Cosaci from getting behind. In the last second Sabin Schiau throw himself and got hold of the ball when Moise Mercea in the 91stth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Sabin Schiau made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Iurie Praporgescu sent off a good shot on target. Sabin Schiau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Corneliu Antonescu in the 97th minute of play. FC Cosaci's Sabin Schiau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iurie Praporgescu in the 98th minute of play. Sampdoria's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
