In the 3rd minute Universitatea cluj were awarded a corner. Bartolo Alarcon went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Bartolo Alarcon almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Adevarul Pur's Costin Stănculescu did a great save. Adevarul Pur's Costin Stănculescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucian Baldovinescu in the 6th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cristi Bădila during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cristi Bădila kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the game, Lucian Baldovinescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Costin Stănculescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 28th minute, Lucian Baldovinescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Costin Stănculescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Costin Stănculescu came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Universitatea cluj's Lucian Baldovinescu. But to his dismay, Lucian Baldovinescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. After 35 played minutes Universitatea cluj got a freekick which was hit by Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. In the 36th minute, Filip Călimanescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 37 minutes into the match, Universitatea cluj's goal looked a bit too open when Filip Călimanescu came free, but Emil Kociniewski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, Cristi Bădila had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Costin Stănculescu. Adevarul Pur's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristi Bădila was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leandro Damião in the 41st minute of play forced Adevarul Pur's goalkeeper Costin Stănculescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Thibaud Vranckx got free with Costin Stănculescu in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eduard Şuteu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Costin Stănculescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucian Baldovinescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thibaud Vranckx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Costin Stănculescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Costin Stănculescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucian Baldovinescu in the 95th minute of play. In the 97th minute Lucian Baldovinescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Costin Stănculescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Universitatea cluj's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
