Spectators: 7946 (Terracing: 5982, Seating: 1834, VIP seats: 130) Jonis's Emanuel Lucănescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marian Tinu in the 3rd minute of play. In the 6th minute, Andrei Mihăilă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 12th minute Claudio Toschi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Lucănescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 14 minutes, Emanuel Lucănescu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Kubilay Akkaş took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sonny Osbourn. Sonny Osbourn dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Andrei Mihăilă in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sonny Osbourn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Emanuel Lucănescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudio Toschi in the 21st minute of the match. Sonny Osbourn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kubilay Akkaş in the 26th minute of play. Emanuel Lucănescu made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Marian Tinu sent off a good shot on target. 29 minutes into the match, Vlad Bolcaș had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emanuel Lucănescu. Jonis's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vlad Bolcaș was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Jonis's Emanuel Lucănescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Jonis from getting a goal against them. In the 43rd minute, Francisc Negrițoiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Jonis's Andrei Mihăilă got a free kick in the 45th minute. Sonny Osbourn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kubilay Akkaş in the 47th minute of play.

The wind increased when Alexandru Abrudan made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Claudio Toschi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Lucănescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexandru Abrudan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kubilay Akkaş made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 65thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Sonny Osbourn would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. After 69 played minutes Jonis got a freekick which was hit by Francisc Negrițoiu. Emanuel Lucănescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonatan Tello, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Emanuel Lucănescu came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Ratele vesele's Jonatan Tello. But to his dismay, Jonatan Tello quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. In the 82ndth minute of the game Claudio Toschi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jonis's Emanuel Lucănescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 83 minutes into the game, Andrei Mihăilă was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jonis's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ratele vesele the free kick. After 83 played minutes Jonis got a freekick which was hit by Andrei Mihăilă. The supporters of Ratele vesele booed when Jonis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolae Iliescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Jonis would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
