Spectators: 7967 (Terracing: 5977, Seating: 1832, VIP seats: 158) 4 minutes into the game, one of F.C SBG DTR:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 12th match minute, F.C SBG DTR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Șerban Dobrițoiu to maneuver through the defense. Ionică Vârlan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 15thth minute tested the skills of Lucian Caramitru when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Adevarul Pur's Ionică Vârlan in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye F.C SBG DTR's goalie prevented a goal. Lucian Caramitru stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ionică Vârlan's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Andrei Hurezeanu hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute of the match Andrei Mihăescu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lucian Caramitru showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 24 minutes, Vali Stoican mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the F.C SBG DTR and the Adevarul Pur players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 24th minute, Vali Stoican hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ionică Vârlan had several of the F.C SBG DTR's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 25 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Lucian Caramitru as he didn't even see the shot coming. When Adevarul Pur's Ionică Vârlan in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye F.C SBG DTR's goalie prevented a goal. When Ionică Vârlan, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 31 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Lucian Caramitru was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 35 minutes into the match, F.C SBG DTR's goalkeeper Lucian Caramitru had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gică Tapalagă. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Ionică Vârlan put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Lucian Caramitru. In the 42nd minute, Gică Tapalagă reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Lucian Caramitru. The goal made the score 4-0. Lucian Caramitru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ionică Vârlan, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ionică Vârlan was the one to do the kick off. With an all-out effort, F.C SBG DTR's Costin Stănculescu threw himself towards the right post 51 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Iosif Negru, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 52nd minute of the match F.C SBG DTR got a corner. Adevarul Pur's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Vali Stoican ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Vali Stoican got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Costin Stănculescu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Lucian Caramitru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ionică Vârlan in the 59th minute of the match. In the 59th minute Ionică Vârlan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucian Caramitru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th match minute, F.C SBG DTR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciprian Zeciu to maneuver through the defense. When Adevarul Pur's Ionică Vârlan in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye F.C SBG DTR's goalie prevented a goal. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Ştefan Costin put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Lucian Caramitru. A collision led to F.C SBG DTR getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Ciprian Zeciu hit a great ball. F.C SBG DTR's Lucian Caramitru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ionică Vârlan in the 74th minute of play. Lucian Caramitru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ionică Vârlan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ionică Vârlan in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lucian Caramitru prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lucian Caramitru stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ionică Vârlan's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. Gică Tapalagă might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lucian Caramitru. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gică Tapalagă ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Adevarul Pur booed when F.C SBG DTR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabian Barys didn't get a good kick on the ball. Andrei Mihăescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lucian Caramitru read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. Lucian Caramitru came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Adevarul Pur's Gică Tapalagă. But to his dismay, Gică Tapalagă quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. There was no doubt that Adevarul Pur were the better team. Adevarul Pur's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
