With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mano Doro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 8 minutes into the game, Ionică Calini recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dacian Iurea. Ionică Calini showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Mano Doro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basarab Arotăriței, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes into the match, FC Berea's goal looked a bit too open when Gheorghe Mălin came free, but Dacian Iurea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th match minute, F.C BUCURESTI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ionică Calini to maneuver through the defense. Dacian Iurea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gheorghe Mălin in the 22nd minute of play. In the 26th minute, Toader Buzoianu made a precise shot to the right of Mano Doro. F.C BUCURESTI's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Laurențiu Cucerzan's late challenge caught a FC Berea's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Laurențiu Cucerzan helped the player get up and apologised. After 39 played minutes F.C BUCURESTI got a freekick which was hit by Laurențiu Cucerzan. In the 44th minute, Berea Matei hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

FC Berea's Basarab Arotăriței got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 60 minutes, Basarab Arotăriței managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Berea's supporters crossed their fingers, but Basarab Arotăriței was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 62 minutes into the match, FC Berea's goal looked a bit too open when Ionică Calini came free, but Dacian Iurea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 63rd minute Ionică Calini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dacian Iurea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. F.C BUCURESTI's Mano Doro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save F.C BUCURESTI from getting a goal against them. After 70 minutes, Ionică Calini mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the F.C BUCURESTI and the FC Berea players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of FC Berea booed when F.C BUCURESTI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ionică Calini didn't get a good kick on the ball. F.C BUCURESTI's Flavius Rada was substituted for Iulian Văidianu. After 72 played minutes F.C BUCURESTI got a freekick which was hit by Ionică Calini. In the 84th minute Ionică Calini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dacian Iurea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dacian Iurea came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by F.C BUCURESTI's Ionică Calini. But to his dismay, Ionică Calini quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. F.C BUCURESTI's Emil Jerca was substituted for Ionică Calini. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC Berea players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for F.C BUCURESTI.
